Making bread using a bread maker is already straightforward, but bread machine mixes make the task even easier. It really is a matter of just adding water, sitting back and letting the machine do all the work.
You don't even have to measure out the ingredients or worry about mess, waste and clutter. This is especially useful if you have a smaller kitchen where space is at a premium. Yes, it's true that the packets of bread mix can cost more than a shop bought loaf of bread, but then you do get what you pay for and sometimes it's worth paying extra for convenience's sake.
Although breadmakers take most of the work out of baking bread, some of us still find it difficult getting to grips with cooking and there's no shame in this! One of the distinct advantages of using bread mixes is the fact that as long as you follow the directions on the packet, add the correct amount of water and follow the directions on the machine, it is fool-proof. Everything is already measured out for you and you don't have to worry about forgetting any ingredients!
If you have children, using these readymade mixes is a great way to introduce them to baking. Children love helping out in the kitchen, but they often get bored following the more complicated and long winded recipes. Usually, sampling the end product is what they look forward to the most. They will enjoy feeling as though they've helped out!
So, now that you've decided that you want to have a go with readymade mixes, you'll also find that there is plenty of variety. Sweet mixes, whole wheat and whole grain are just some of the products on offer.
They also save you having to buy in these ingredients separately. If you want to try a new variety of bread, this is a good way to sample a loaf before you commit to buying all the ingredients. So, if you want to make baking cinnamon rolls or foccacia even simpler; use a mix!
