One of the oldest breadmaker models, the Fastbake 48280 breadmaker was first on the UK market about 10 years ago! Later replaced by the 48268, the Fastbake 48280 can knead, rise and bake up to 900g sized loaves.
The Fastbake 48280 breadmaker is now pretty much extinct. Being 10 years old, it's hard to get your hands on one. Amazon however, do sometimes hold limited stock. The below table is regularly updated with price and stock information.

The Fastbake 48280 breadmaker from Morphy Richards has all the standard features you'd expect to find on a bread machine including a size setting, choose between a 680g or 900g loaf. A choice of 12 preset programs: select basic white, French, Whole wheat, quick, sweet, fastbake 1, fastbake 2, dough, jam, cake, sandwich and extra bake. The Fastbake setting allows you to knead, rise and bake bread in just 80 minutes. Perfect for when you need bread quickly.
In addition, the Fastbake breadmaker has a 13 hour programmable timer, so you can prepare your ingredients in the evening, and the Fastbake breadmaker will have the bread freshly made for breakfast time.
There are 3 crust settings to choose from on the Fastbake, so you can experiment with your baking and hopefully get the bread exactly how you like it. The Fastbake breadmaker also features cool touch sides, which is an added safety measure to prevent burning during the baking process.
Also, for those of you who like to see what's going on, the Fastbake breadmaker includes a large viewing window in the lid, so you can see the bread rise before your very eyes.
Every Fastbake breadmaker comes with an instruction booklet which includes a selection of bread making recipes for you to try.

I am very happy with this type of Machine and accordingly I have recomended my friends to use it, unfortunately after three years the machine got stuck and the mould is not rotating, I tooki it for repair and they found the drive belt is not wotking, and after a time my friends who are using the same machine got the same problem..but in overall it the best bead make machine.

I was lucky enough to buy this machine four years ago, when it was only £35. Now I see what a good buy that was, as it's currently close to double the price.
After four years I'm happy to say I have had very good use of my bread maker. I can't say that I never buy shop bread anymore, because as a busy mum of a large family, sometimes I just don't manage to bake bread, but buying bread is a rare occurrence. I'd followed other reviewer's advice to avoid the fastbake setting, and the other settings I have used were very good. My favourite is the dough setting for making rolls and pizza bases, but having said that, I do enjoy waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread, and the sandwiches taste great.
I can't really find fault with this machine, when my tin and paddle got damaged, Morphy Richards supplied replacements at a very reasonable cost, so all in all a good buy.
