You always know that you are going to achieve outstanding performance when you choose a Panasonic bread maker. They have been outselling other bread machines in their price bracket for years and that trend isn't likely to stop with the introduction of the new Panasonic SD-ZB2502BXC.
With its innovative new automatic yeast dispenser this machine can actually drop the yeast into your mix at the optimum time to create better bread. Gone are the days where you have to worry about your yeast touching the salt too early or whether you put the flour all over the base, this dispenser takes that worry away and makes bread making even easier.
Obviously with a yeast dispenser and a fruit and nut dispenser on the lid, cleaning the SD-2502 is going to get a little trickier and there is no room for the viewing window that so many competitors seem to think is a good idea. This is a small price to pay to get better bread and really shouldn't put you off.
As with all Panasonic bread makers, quality comes at a price and you are still going to have to wait a lot longer for your bread than you would have to with most other machines. The rapid function still takes nearly two hours but frankly Panasonic seem to be in no hurry to do anything about it, mainly because the timings they use provide outstanding results. In fact the six hour French bread option may be longer than almost any other, but the results are undisputable.
Finished in highly attractive stainless steel, the traditional features you would expect from a high quality Panasonic bread maker are all included. The 13 hour timer still applies and so does the range of options from the much loved sandwich bread selection and pizza dough option through to the French and Italian breads that can be so useful.
But there are some new additions too. The Panasonic SD-ZB2502 BXC now features the all new gluten free mode which can actually make gluten free bread taste better and there is a speciality mode to make the most of the more sophisticated flours such as the delicious spelt flour.
And Panasonic have finally added a jam and compote facility to their bread machines which is frankly long overdue.
A second mixing blade for use with spelt flour comes included as standard and all blades and pans are coated in the patented non stick coating which is not only twice as tough and scratchproof than the regular coating but it also makes sure the bread comes away from the pan a lot easier - less to clear up and more bread for you to eat.
We are finding that the SD-2502BXC model is still suffering from the old Panasonic problem where the blade stays in the loaf more often than is should, but frankly you just take it out when the baking is done and this should never be a reason not to buy this product.
In truth, we think Panasonic have done it again and probably better than ever. This bread maker looks better than its ancestors, the automatic yeast dispenser is a genius idea and the addition of more options including jam and compote facilities is fantastic. Check for the blade when the loaf comes out and you will have one of the best selling bread machines on the market.

I have had my breadmaker for nearly seven months now and absolutely love it. It is so easy to use and produces consistently reliable results. I have tried most of the bread recipes and have not had one failure. I have even used a packet bread mix and this works great too, provided you add the water into the pan first and then the breadmix.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is the second Panasonic Breadmaker I have owned, and this is the best by far, I do so like the separate compartment for the yeast.
