Designed for kitchens short on work top space, the Compact 48245 breadmaker from Morphy Richards gives you the option of kneading and baking two bread sizes. Create a small 450g loaf, or go for the larger 680g size if you're feeling up for it.
The unique kneading paddle featured on the Compact breadmaker claims to give perfect shaped loaves, with no requirement to cut it out at the end of the baking cycle. It folds down flat at the end of the 2nd rise cycle, this 'punches' the dough ready for the final rise 3 and allows the blade to fold flat to minimise the hole size left in the base of the baked loaf.
Flexibility is provided by the Compact 48245 breadmaker, it provides a choice of 10 baking programs including French, whole wheat, sweet, cakes and jams. There's also a programmable timer for overnight baking, perfect for waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread.
You can select how you prefer your crusts, choose between light, medium or dark, and watch the whole bread making process unfold before your very eyes with the large viewing window integrated into the breadmaker lid.

I've had mine for a couple of months now. I bought a cheap one because I wasn't sure how much use it would get. I was pleasantly surprised - perfect bread every time (there are a few good recipes in the handbook).
It gets used every day and I wouldn't bother with bought bread any more if you paid me. Don't be tempted to scrub the tin - I put a tiny scratch in mine. If you don't use too much grease then the bread leaves hardly any residue when you remove it. Warm water and a quick wipe do the trick for cleaning if you remember that. The hole in the bread issue isn't too bad - much better than what I've seen from my mates (very expensive) machine.
