The BM350 breadmaker from Kenwood is a step up from the BM256 breadmaker. It features a convection heating system and additional preset programs. For just a small increase in price you get a much more efficient unit.
Originally released back in 2006, today you'll have difficulty finding anywhere in the UK that still stocks the BM350. If you want to stick with a Kenwood, check out the BM450 instead.

So the BM350 breadmaker uses convection heating, but what does that mean? well convection breadmakers augment a traditional breadmaker by circulating heated air using a fan. By moving fast hot air past the food, convection breadmakers can operate at a lower temperature than a standard breadmaker and yet cook food more quickly. The air circulation, or convection, tends to eliminate "hot spots" and thus bread may bake more evenly.
The BM350 features all the settings included on the smaller models including a rapid bake function if you want your bread quickly, a choice between 500g, 750g and 1kg loaf size, and a 12 hour delay timer to automatically prepare bread for the morning.
The control panel is improved, with stylish chrome detail and there's a clear LCD display with the program status information.
Measuring up at 31cm x 39cm x 29cm, the BM350 breadmaker is larger and heavier than most alternatives due to its convection fan. Be sure you have enough work space for this unit.
As with all Kenwood breadmakers, the BM350 also features a power interruption system. If the power is turned off, the breadmaker will resume the baking process if power is returned within 8 minutes.

Haven't bought a loaf from a shop since we got the breadmaker. Haven't smelt or tasted bread like this since I was a small boy in the local baker's. The bread we're eating is fresher, more nutritional and half the price - with all the work and complexity of turning on a microwave.

Very simple to use although the recipes in the booklet didn't produce very good results. Used another book I received free with the make and the results have been spot on. Used daily for first week, now approx 3 loaves per week.

The Kenwood BM350 breadmaker manual is clearly laid out and easy to follow. Some of the included recipes are quite basic so you might want to invest in a bread making recipe book.
